During the month of October, Messiah observes a powerful custom from the spiritual tradition of Mexican and Latino Christians, the All Saints Ofrenda.
To deepen our appreciation and understanding of this tradition (as well as many other Latino Christian traditions), the Rev. Jesús Escamilla, pastor of Iglesia Luterana San Gabriel, will be here to present to us. Pastor Jesús is a long-time friend of Messiah and has led workshops and conversations for many of our ELCA congregations about understanding, appreciating, and including Latino Christians and their deep spiritual traditions into the lives of our congregations. Pastor Jesús has a wealth of knowledge and passion to share—you won’t want to miss this evening of conversation and learning!
