This year, churches around the world mark the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi, a medieval preacher who taught us about peace, humility, serving those most in need, and caring for creation.
To celebrate, Messiah is throwing a St. Francis Block Party!
A come-and-go event for people to receive prayer, to serve others, to be served, and to get connected with organizations St. Francis would have loved! There will be something for everyone:
  • Pastor Trent will be offering pet blessings
  • Tarrant Area Food Bank will be here with their mobile food truck to distribute food and help people with SNAP sign-ups
  • We will be collecting dog food to support Don't Forget to Feed Me
  • Knarr Coaching will be offering a movement class with pets
  • Other community partners will be there for you to meet and connect with their work: Weatherford College Veterinary Tech Program, Grounds for Hounds, Weatherford Animal Services, and Unity Recovery.
