Book Full of Prayer

This year, we celebrate twenty years since the publication of the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (those red prayer books and hymnals in your pews). Our next forum series will explore the rich resources for worship, prayer, and Christian life found within our church’s worship book.

On Sunday, November 8th, Pastor Trent will kick things off with an introduction to ELW, its structure and resources, and an introduction on Christian ritual and prayer. Then, each week, a volunteer presenter will introduce us to a particular ritual or service in the ELW, walking us through its prayers, symbols, and meanings. Topics will include Baptism, Holy Communion, Daily Prayer, Confession, Healing, Marriage, and the services of Holy Week and Easter.
