To honor the Rev. Franz Schemmel's many years of faithful ministry, Messiah Lutheran Church will hold a special Service of Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Erik Gronberg, bishop of the Northern Texas-Northern Louisianna Synod will preside over the rite of thanksgiving and farewell. We invite all to join us in celebrating Pastor Franz’s many years of pastoral leadership and service to our congregation. A luncheon and reception will follow the service.
