In the midst of life’s burdens—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—God offers healing, comfort, and peace. You are invited to a Service of Healing on Tuesday, April 9, at 6:30 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church.
This contemplative and intimate service will be a space for reflection, prayer, and renewal. Through scripture, song, and silence, we will rest in God’s presence. There will be an opportunity for individual prayer and anointing for those who desire it, as well as Holy Communion, where we receive God’s grace and strength for the journey. Following the ancient custom of blessing oils for anointing on or around Holy Week, we will also have a time for blessing vials of oil that you can take home with you as a aid to your prayer and as a physical reminder of God's comforting presence and our identity as children of God in baptism.
Prior to the service, we welcome you to gather for a community dinner at 6:00 PM—a time of nourishment and fellowship before entering into worship. A sign-up sheet for volunteering to bring food meal is in the narthex.
Come as you are. Whether you seek healing for yourself, for a loved one, or simply long to rest in God’s peace, you are welcome in this sacred time.
