Active Shooter Training and Information Session

In recent years, with the increase of gun violence in the United States, particularly the targetting of houses of worship, congregations have raised difficult yet important questions about how we can ensure the safety of our beloved communities while still living into the radical freedom and hospitality of the gospel. One way we have decided to respond at Messiah is to begin with information and open discussion. On April 21st, you are invited to a special training and information session led by Messiah member and expert in public safety, Jody Fletcher. Jody will provide us with a basic awareness of the common patterns of mass-shooting cases and simple tips for how we, as a community, can respond resposibly and effectively in a time of crisis. There will be a light lunch served and there will be time for discussion and a Q & A following. Both Messiah members and members of the public are invited to attend.
