 hether you’ve been a churchgoing Christian all your life or you are a ne
 w Christian\, you never “graduate.” There is always more to discover a
 bout who God is calling you to be and how God is calling you to follow and
  serve.\nThe Way is Messiah’s six-week discipleship course designed to h
 elp participants deepen participants’ understanding of themselves as dis
 ciples of the way of Jesus and as prophetic members of our reforming\, Eva
 ngelical Lutheran movement.\nTogether we explore questions such as:\n\nHow
  do Christians read the Bible faithfully?\nWhat does it mean to be saved b
 y grace?\nHow do worship\, prayer\, and the sacraments shape everyday life
 ?\nWhat is distinctive about Lutheran theology and practice?\nHow has God 
 uniquely gifted me to serve my neighbor and participate in the life of the
  Church?\n\nBecause discipleship is a lifelong journey\, The Way is offere
 d twice each year and will be a regular part of our congregation's life. W
 e especially encourage those preparing for baptism\, confirmation\, or mem
 bership to participate\, but we also hope every member of Messiah—whethe
 r you've worshiped here for decades or just discovered our community—wil
 l take part in a cohort at least once. As we journey together\, we develop
  a shared language\, a shared understanding of our Lutheran tradition\, an
 d a shared commitment to following Jesus in the world.\nWhat to Expect\n\n
