Messiah Lutheran Church will welcome family and friends and the community to a Mission Fest and Marketplace, an evening of food, fun, music, games and fellowship. It’s Saturday, Oct. 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M. at Messiah, 907 Washington St. in Weatherford.
Dinner will be chicken spaghetti, green bean casserole, Caesar salad, bread sticks and dessert (and we make some fabulous desserts). A freewill offering will be appreciated.
Live music will be provided by Messiah’s favorite band, Ebenezer.
Tickets are available for a drawing for a vintage “Jacob’s Ladder” quilt, crafted around the 1920s. “It is simply amazing to find a quilt this old in this condition: pristine, well preserved and cared for,” says the donor. “It could easily be in a museum. This one of of those rare finds!” Call 817-291-4371 for tickets.
Look for a silent auction and lots of fun: face painting, games, cake walk and a bounce house. At the Marketplace you’ll find handmade crafts: pickles, jams, specialty baked goods, jewelry, crocheted items, quilts, and woodworking.
When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. Proceeds from the Mission Fest and Marketplace wil support the ministries of Messiah Lutheran Church.
